Carl Lindquist is a Swedish actor/singer-songwriter, born and raised in Stockholm. From a young age Carl immersed himself in a musical environment provided by his family, listening to the likes of David Bowie and Bryan Ferry, eventually developing to diverse styles such as Dave Grohl and Tommy Körberg.
Along side his musical interests, Carl has always loved sports. After attending the basketball high-school Sanda in Jönköping, Sweden at age 18 he was signed to 08 Stockholm Human Rights, making his debut in the highest basketball league for men in Sweden. Carl also played for the Swedish Youth National Team for many years, appearing in three European Championships. After a tragic accident a year after he signed with 08, it was revealed that Carl could no longer pursue a career in basketball.
He then turned to what he knew he could rely on, Music. Very fond of guitar and piano, and also player of those instruments, Carl is a singer, first and foremost with a broad versatility of styles. He continued to sing and play the guitar, uploading videos and gaining a loyal following on YouTube and decided that this was what he wanted to do. With a very soulful and unique voice, Carl has learned to differentiate himself from other singers on the strength of his vocals alone.
Carl has been involved with numerous projects all around the world including: Vocalist of the French/Swedish band Coexistence, with their latest album, ‘Everlasting Scars’ released last year, Vocalist on the Anton Johansson’s Galahad Suite album (Lion Music), released in 2013, collaboration with VRA! from Brazil, recording a cover of the Dream Theater song, ‘As I Am’ which has gained over 650 000 views on YouTube, and even airtime on National Brazilian TV among others.
Carl is also a songwriter, with lyrics that are always deep and meaningful to his listeners. He released his first rock/pop solo EP entitled, ‘End of Our Road’ in May 2012. The EP is available worldwide on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and more.
Now signed to SESAC, one of the biggest performing rights organizations in the US, which has also signed artists like Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Rush, Mariah Carey, Carl also works as a published songwriter, writing songs both for his own career and for other artists.
Always seeking new challenges, Lindquist moved to London in 2013 to pursue a career in acting and musical theatre. He attended the American Musical Theatre Academy of London, where he graduated a year later with a distinction in acting.
