Carl Lindquist is an actor, singer and voice artist. Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. He is known for his extensive experience as a stage actor, as well as appearing in various film & TV productions across the globe.
From a young age Carl immersed himself in a musical environment provided by his family, listening to the likes of David Bowie and Bryan Ferry, eventually developing to diverse styles such as Dave Grohl and Tommy Körberg.
Along side his musical interests, Carl has always loved sports. After attending the basketball high-school Sanda in Jönköping, Sweden at age 18 he was signed to 08 Stockholm Human Rights, making his debut in the highest basketball league for men in Sweden. Carl also played for the Swedish Youth National Team for many years, appearing in three European Championships. After a tragic accident a year after he signed with 08, it was revealed that Carl could no longer pursue a career in basketball.
He then turned to what he knew he could rely on, Music. Very fond of guitar and piano, and also player of those instruments, Carl is a singer, first and foremost with a broad versatility of styles. He continued to sing and play the guitar, uploading videos and gaining a loyal following on YouTube and decided that this was what he wanted to do. With a very soulful and unique voice, Carl has learned to differentiate himself from other singers on the strength of his vocals alone.
Carl has been involved with numerous projects all around the world including: Vocalist of the French/Swedish band Coexistence, with their latest album, ‘Everlasting Scars’ released in 2016, Vocalist on the Anton Johansson’s Galahad Suite album (Lion Music), released in 2013, collaboration with VRA! from Brazil, recording a cover of the Dream Theater song, ‘As I Am’ which has gained over 800 000 views on YouTube, and even airtime on National Brazilian TV among others.
Carl is also a singer-songwriter, with lyrics that are always deep and meaningful to his listeners. He released his debut solo EP, ‘End of Our Road’ in 2012. The EP is available worldwide on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and more. Carl is currently working on a new solo EP.
Always seeking new challenges, Lindquist moved to London in 2013 to pursue a career in acting and musical theatre. He attended The ICMT – International College of Musical Theatre, where he graduated a year later with a distinction in acting.
Carl appeared as the leading man, “Fred Gaily” in the UK Tour of Miracle on 34th Street in 2015, and in 2016 he appeared as “Peter” in Bill Kenwright’s official production of Jesus Christ Superstar, touring in Europe.
He made two guest appearances on stage with Ramin Karimloo on his Lead Me Home – UK Tour in January 2017.
In August the same year Carl played the leading role, ‘Alan Gottfried’ in the short film, Gone To Mexico. The film was selected and screened at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
At the end of 2017, beginning of 2018 Carl appeared as “Cover Phantom” in Das Phantom der Oper – European Tour.
He appeared as “Raoul” in the Norwegian premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera at the Folketeateret in Oslo in 2018-2019, and he was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical – BroadwayWorld Norway Awards for his portrayal.
In 2020 he was the Voice-Over for the Swedish travel agency VING’s commercials, broadcast on Swedish national television and online.
Carl played the leading role in the short film, Max as well as being the co-producer of the film. In December 2021 he won the Monthly Indie Shorts Award for Best Actor for his role as ‘Max MacLean’.
In May 2022, the Netflix series, Clark was released. Carl voiced the role of ‘Sniper’, who’s appearing in Episode 4.
Carl also recorded the Voice-Over for Thorvald, the polar bear in a commercial for Wild Deodorant in 2022 with 1 500 000+ views on YouTube.
In the beginning of last year, he recorded the Voice-Over for Klarna’s new commercials featuring Hollywood celebrities Paris Hilton and Bretman Rock.
Carl recently appeared as a ‘Solo Vocalist’ in The Andrew Lloyd Webber Gala – European Tour 2024. He also appeared in the same show last year touring all around Scandinavia.
